Championship Hangover

The confetti has blown away from the parade route down the Old White Horse Pike.  Mogilny has bought new boxer shorts, to replace the soiled ones of jubilation and premature ejaculation.  Boytanio has made every local appearance and benefit banquet.  Quad Skates has sold all Championship merchandise and official DVD videos.  JD was finally found in a Texas Bordello after the celebration party at Fudruckers.  Montel has something new to complain about.  It has all come to end for the Waterford Whalers 2009-2010 championship fall season.

A new shakeup on defense as stronghold defensemen ED has opted out of his 2010 winter contract.  He will missed as the 1-D man on the team.  His canon of a slapshot, and solid stay home Defense style will never be forgotten.  ED we wish you the best of luck.

Goalie Steve aka Sergent Slaughter, has also opted out of his contract, and has signed with a rival team in the division. The Barlow Bruisers.  His Conn Smyth performance in the later rounds of the playoffs will surely be missed.  Also his jersey will be hung in the Whalers Hall of Fame, to commemorate his dominate demeanor, and legendary playoff performance.  Sorry Quads, you will not receive this Jersey back.

At this moment the Whalers have not sign a Goaltender to replace Sergent Slaughter.  Buzz Killington has decided to take a vacation in Hawaii for the month of February.  Ronda is still in flux, on whether his wife will allow him to play.  So, management has been put in a predicament of a situation.  The Wateford Scouting Department will scour its resources to find an outstanding Goalie for this Winter 2010 season.

Also the Whalers have announced the signing of Steve Arena, who will probably be put on offense with Montel.  The official press conference will be broadcast later this week.

The Schedule will also be available when Commisoner Hall has decided to complete it.  That news will also be passed along.  So get ready for a Whalers repeat!

The Red Army Machine Whalers march on to Championship Game

It what has to be the greatest team game the Waterford Whalers has ever played in franchise history. The Whalers were victorious 8-6 over Razz Russ last night. The Whalers will now march into the Championship game as a hot team winning 6 out of their last 7 games.

From the very first drop of the puck, the Whalers took dominant control of the game. Their defensive position was so remarkable, that Montel was a +3 for the game, which has lower his overall plus minus to -32.

However the Whalers were very aggressive in their style of play racking up 14 penalty minutes. It could of been worse though. Montel could of taken a too many men penalty by lustfully grabbing playing time.

The turning point in the game, was when Quad Skates took a dump in pass and fired a shot from behind the net. The Shot bounce off of the goalie's glove into the net. It has been called "The Quad Skate Shot heard around the World"

At that point in the game the Whalers had a comfortable 8-3 lead with only 10minutes left. Ed, Arena, Stilts, Boytanio, Chief Editor, Goalie Steve, Montel, Montel jr, JD, Quad Skates, and Don hunkered down and preserve the victory 8-6.

The Championship game will be held Wed night at 9pm against the Land Sharks. The Whalers have come very far since the last meeting between the two teams. In the lockeroom the confidence has grown through each player. The attitude is the Red Army Machine Whalers will bring home a Championship to the working class people of Waterford.

Montel's late goal leads Whalers into Semi-Finals

Montel's regular season's stats reads as the following: Games Played 10, Goals 6, Assists 3, Points 9, Plus/Minus -36, Penalty Minutes 12mins, Shots on Goal 29, Number of times hacked the goalie 98.

With those impressive numbers, nothing compares to the stat of a Game Winning Goal scored last night against District 5. Only 2 minutes left in the game, Defense men Ed grabbed a lose puck in the neutral zone. He carried down the left wing, a hit Montel with a pass. Nobody was near him, as District 5 refused to go over the scouting report of the deadly sniper Montel.

Montel walked in untouched and fired a furious wrist shot that beat the goalie 5-hole. It was a clutch goal to lift the Whalers into the Semi-Finals Tuesday night against Razz Russ at 9pm.

Even though that was a monumental moment in Whalers history, the turning point in the game was Boytanio's laser power play goal. The shot was so hard that it burn a hole through the net, and the puck was sitting outside of the goal. District 5 protesting the goal, that the shot was too hard.

"Hey you can't take those kind of shots. This is just Men's League Buddy. We can't handle a laser beam fired from the point. Tell that short bald guy to save those shots for his professional games." A jerk from District 5 replied

The Whalers squeaked out a victory for their first playoff game. Tomorrow night we show a true test for the Whalers. Razz Russ is 7-3, and have beaten the Whalers twice already. But the Whalers are confident that their team grit and determination will carry them into the Championship game.

Whalers spilt back to back games

The Waterford Whalers ended the regular season with a gut wrenching defeat against the Can Can girls last night 9-6. It ends a turmoil season of injuries, vacant goaltending, and a unproductive Montel scoring output.

Last night's game was the best effort by the Whalers all season, in a 9-6 defeat. Team Captain The Chief Editor had some positive words for his players after the game.

"We played hard the entire game, and didn't leave anything to chance. We had several great offensive opportunities we didn't cash in on, but overall I'm very pleased with every one's effort tonight. Sometimes you have to give the other team credit, and the Can Can girls had some impressive goals."

Previous night the Whalers coasted by District 9 with a 9-6 victory. Superstar Don led the way with 6 goals, and Montel jr had a pair in the win. The Whalers jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, than played awful in the 2nd period to allow District 9 back into the game.

But the Captain iced the victory late in the third with a long wrist shot that beat the goalie through his legs.

So the season ends with a 4-6 record. Not too bad for a team that started out 0-5. A lot of heart was shown down the stretch run, and the Whalers will prepare for their first playoff game Monday night at 9pm against District 9.

Come out and support your Whalers. The Montel brothers will reveal their new intro this Monday night, but you can have a sneak preview with the following clip below.
