Chief Editor Rescues Whalers with Hat Trick
In certain moments in a season, a true hero emerges that defines the team. Last night's game against District 5, with the Whalers trailing 1-0 going into the second period a hero was called upon.
The Chief Editor tired of watching the Montel brothers fail of scoring goals, took it upon himself to secure the offense. It wasn't spectacular in any means, but it was just professional. A couple of loose pucks in the slot, and the Chief Editor scored 5-hole to give the Whalers a 2-1 lead.
Than later in the 3rd period, on a odd man rush. Superstar Don set up the Chief Editor to complete his natural hat trick and salvage the Whalers season. It was the Whalers second victory of the year which have a respectful record of 2-5. Later on we caught up with co-captain Montel whom explained the Whalers recent success.
So why have the Whalers won two games in a row?
"Well I bought these new skates that fit me more properly, and snug. So it has boast up my speed to a few m.p.h."
Is that why, you have been falling uncontrollably in the offensive zone?
"Yeah, its tough when you skate as fast as I do. I'm not used to having such great speed. When I adjust I should be fine, by right now I'm still feeling it out."
How far can the Whalers go?
"We should win every game remaining in the season. So that would level out our record to 5-5. Than when the playoffs start, we should have a fighting chance at the championship."
Why do think the Whalers could win the Championship?
"Like i predicting in the beginning of the season, i will score 60 goals by the time the season is over. Right now i have 4 goals in 7games. So i figure with the remaining schedule and playoffs. I'm good for another 56 goals. The Montel is just getting started."
Thank you Mr. Montel.
The Whalers have been impressive in the last two games and will try to continue their winning ways next Wed at 9pm. Its dollar dog night, so bring the family, and any hungry fans.

Whalers End Losing Streak Capture First Victory 8-2
The Skate Zone Floor was clean, the refs didn't call any penalties, Montel wasn't complaining about playing time, and Matt Arena had a smile on his face the entire game.
Losing Streak of 5 games came to an end last night, as the Whalers were victorious 8-2. The team called a player only meeting before the game and talked about the suspension of Quads Skates, and how they could win in his honor.
Montel had these fine words before the game; "We now can play as a team. Without Quads I can finally receive the playing time I truly deserve. I can't score any goals siting on the bench. I need to play as much as possible. I set high expectations for myself of a 60 goal season, and right now I need 58 more goals to accomplish this task. I'm not worried about the team, all I can do right now is focus on my own individual goals. Lets go out there and pass me the puck! Go Montel!"
With this inspirational speech the Whalers put their main attention to setting up Montel in front of the net. After numerous whiffs, Montel finally connected on some one-timers, which was more than enough to secure the victory.
Next week's game is against District 5, which will be most likely the opponent of the Whalers in the first round of the playoffs. Quads will return from his suspension, and JD is day to day with an injury.

Quads Suspended in Whalers Defeat
It was not a pretty site last night, as the Waterford Whalers continue their losing streak to 0-5 to start the season. The Whalers came out flat in the opening period, they looked sluggish, and disinterest in the game.
Montel brothers were skating around in circles, if they were helicopters they would of taken off into flight, by the 4th twirl. Boytanio looked nervous, making un-character mistakes in his own end. Quad Skates set a new men's league record of most turnovers in a period. Goaltender Steve gave up some cheap slap shots from the point. The Chief Editor was getting burned on defense. Buzz Killington was a total buzz kill as his debut as head coach. It was a total mess.
Frustrated by the lackluster effort, Quad Skates was called for a elbowing penalty. On his way to the penalty box, he had an unfortunate encounter with head ref Luigi. "What did I get called for?" ask Quads
Luigi replied "Elbowing"
"I wasn't anywhere near a guy to elbow him" Quads barked
"Go to the box!" Luigi remarked
"Why don't you go fuck yourself, you asshole plumber. Tell your brother Mario to stop fucking the princess and rescuing you from being an cocksucking ref. If I was a betting man I would bet the house money that Mario used to kick your ass as apprentice plumber. You are the worse human being I've had the chance to meet. So go sit on a plunger! And trim that mustache." Quads commented.
"That's it, your gone. Game misconduct for number 92. " Luigi replied
Quads was ejected from the game, but was allowed to watch the remaining of the game from the Whalers bench. During one of timeouts, a puck was shot into the Whalers bench. Quads pick up the puck and chuck it towards the direction of Luigi's mustache. An displeased Luigi, threw Quads from the facility.
Commissioner Hall, awarded Quads a 1 game suspension for abuse of an official. Great Job Quad Skates!
The frustration of Quad Skates has summed up the season so far for the Whalers. The team has showed flashes of greatness, but hasn't yet earn the confidence to win a game. Team morale is at an all time low, and if things don't change soon it may result in a total shake up in personnel and management.

Stilts calls a players only practice
Insight of a 0-4 record to start the season. Rookie forward Stilts called a player only meeting and practice yesterday. The Whalers are coming off two very disappointing loses, in which the game was tied in closing minutes and lost both of those games by 2 goals.
Stilts had some very positive feedback of what the Whalers need to work on to secure their first victory. "Its very plain and simple, Montel needs to score more goals."
Management also is very please with the effort by the Whalers in the last two games. "We feel we're on the verge of capturing our first victory of the season. We made some personal moves by signing goal scoring superstar Don, and Steve as our goalie. Tonight I expect the Whalers to be skating off in the sunset victorious. "
Head Captain the Chief Editor, has made some line adjustments and strategy changes as well. "Tonight we're going with 3 offensive lines and 2 defensive lines. Also we're not going to heavily rely on Montel for any more offensive production. His meager 2 goals for the season, isn't going to win us a championship, so we've demoted him and his Montel brother to the checking 3rd line. Our first line will be Don-JD, second line Quads-Stilts, third line Montel brothers, on defense it will be ED-Chief Editor, and than the lover defensive pair of Boytanio-Arena. We're going to stack our lines, to get more offensive out of Don. Plus Quads will be flying high on offense with Stilts as his winger."
Tonight's game against Razz Russ will be at 9pm, the champagne bottles will be on ice awaiting the first Whalers victory.
